Travis Kelce Suffers Non-Contact Ankle Injury, Returns to Chiefs' Victory
Brief Absence From Field
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce suffered a non-contact ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. The injury occurred when Kelce slipped on the turf during the first half, causing him to limp off the field.
Kelce's injury sent a brief wave of concern through the Chiefs' sidelines and fanbase. However, he was able to return to action in the second half after receiving medical attention.
"I just kind of rolled my ankle a little bit," Kelce said after the game. "It was nothing major. I just wanted to get it taped up and make sure I was good to go for the second half."
Kelce's return was crucial for the Chiefs, who went on to defeat the Vikings 34-28. He finished the game with five receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.
The Chiefs are now 4-1 on the season and will face the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
