Accused Architect Faces New Charges

Rex Heuermann, a 60-year-old former architect, has been charged with two additional counts of second-degree murder in connection with the ongoing Gilgo Beach Homicide investigation. Heuermann is accused of killing four sex workers and dumping their bodies on a desolate stretch of beach in Long Island.

The new charges stem from the discovery of two more bodies in the area. The victims have been identified as Valerie Mack and Jessica Taylor, both of whom were reported missing in 2010.

Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 26.
