Rex Heuermann, the suspect in the Gilgo Beach killings, now faces charges in the deaths of six women spanning three decades. The 60-year-old former architect was formally told of new charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of Jessica Taylor and Valerie Mack.
Heuermann, who has been accused of killing four women, has been charged with the murders of two more. The arrest comes after a lengthy investigation into the unsolved slayings of women on Long Island, New York.
Heuermann was arrested Thursday evening in Midtown Manhattan. He was charged Friday with three counts of first-degree murder and ordered held without bail.
