The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers 4-3 on Wednesday night at Rogers Arena, extending their winning streak to five games and moving to 5-5-0 against the Panthers all-time.
Connor McDavid Led the Way
Connor McDavid led the Oilers with a goal and an assist, while Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each added a goal. Cam Talbot made 35 saves in net for the win.
Panthers Battled Back
The Panthers battled back from a 3-1 deficit in the third period, but couldn't complete the comeback. Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Vincent Trocheck each scored for the Panthers. Roberto Luongo made 29 saves in the loss.
Oilers Head to Stanley Cup Final
The Oilers will now face the Dallas Stars in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 1 of the series is set for Monday night at Rogers Arena.
